Man, I'm going to say this: I majored in advertising. I'm not someone who indiscriminately hates on advertising. But I do really, really dislike American Apparel's advertising. The overt objectification of women they've got going on really bothers me. And it's not treated in any kind of way that says they still respect women, despite having them mostly nude to sell their products. I don't know how this is different from most advertising, because across the board it's really not kind to women. But there's something about AA that's particularly grating on my nerves.
This woman doesn't have a face! She's just boobs and ribs and especially vagina.

I'm not sure what it is about this one that bothers me. Do you know?
Same with this one. Hmm. What are your thoughts on the whole thing?
i realize i'm late to comment but i fully agree. their advertising bothers the hell out of me. there is something really skeevy about their photos. their models look really young, and the photos look really lo-fi like home photos. essentially all i think of when i see their stuff is late 70s teenage porn. the 2nd one bothers you because of her pose. so unnatural. gah, HATE their advertising.
