So, since the first Links à la Mode, the program has kind of exploded. I rememer that particular roundup: there were 7 participants, one was Independent Fashion Bloggers, who host LàlM, and another was The Coveted, which is run by an IFB admin. So there were 5 of us that opted in just on the idea that it was going to be good for our blogs. 5 months later, Jennine (aka Lady Coveted) and the other IFB administrators have had to make a decision to limit the number of participants in Links à la Mode to 20 (18 after you subtract entries from The Coveted and Independent Fashion Bloggers). It's super cool that the program has gotten so much hype and is now so big that there has to be a cutoff--but it's created a problem for me and some other bloggers. The list for LàlM is generated from the first 20 posts in the weekly LàlM thread on the IFB forums and this week (for Links à la Mode January 22), the slots were filled in less than 6 hours. I don't think I'll be able to participate in the roundup anymore because I'm just not that timely--and the thread is started at 6am West Coast time! It's too bad, I've been working on finding a consistent style and posting regularly (I hope you've noticed!) and wanted to use LàlM to generate more readership. Oh well, I'm sure there are other ways! I think this is likely the last time I'll be posting Links à la Mode, but fear not! I'll still bring you a link roundup--it'll just be from my favorite blog entries of the week!
