Cardigan, Gap; t-shirt, Lane Bryant; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Forever 21
Welcome to the Thanksgiving edition of the daily outfit! I mean, I didn't wear this on Thanksgiving, but today IS thanksgiving. I wore this on Tuesday for work and a volunteer event. I like the outfit a lot, it's nice and casual. These heels aren't the most stable, but they're comfortable enough. I'm learning to walk in heels. Less tripping and dragging the heel. But it's so slow! I walk about twice as fast in flats. Oh well, these are still pretty.

Cardigan, Victoria's Secret; top, Torrid; cami, Torrid; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Converse
I look a mess, no? It's the hair. And maybe the shoes. No matter, this photo was taken at the end of the day after work, sushi and The Informant! with Jeremy. The Informant! was the first movie I've seen in quite some time that I walked out of knowing I liked it. Upon scrutinizing very hard, I figured out one thing that I didn't think was absolutely perfect: a font used in transitioning. But the casting, the costuming and the script were all spot on. I enjoyed myself very, very much. And having good company to see it with didn't hurt!

Shrug, Charlotte Russe; top, Old Navy; belt, Target; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Torrid
I honestly don't really remember much about what I was doing when I wore this outfit. It was a Wednesday, I had to work...I think I just went home after work (a pretty rare occasion, to be honest). Either way, cute, no? Easy, comfortable, wearable. I like it. And I like pig tails!

Sweater, Old Navy; cami, Torrid; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Converse
Umm...sorry about the god awful pose/face/anything. I wore this for my last day of work at the Winning Mark office and then up to Seattle. To see my bestie! I've had these sneakers since high school, they do right by me. I rarely ever wear them because I feel super sloppy when I have sneakers on. But it was supposed to be wet in Seattle and I only took one pair of shoes, so there it is.

Scarf, Torrid; cardigan, Torrid; shirt, Gap; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Torrid
I'm playing catch up today and probably for the next couple of days. This is what I wore on Tuesday for work, an awful doctor's appointment and a volunteer event. It was all well and god until I realized that the shoes I was wearing had massive holes in them. That was when I was walking to the bus to go to work. In the pouring rain. I didn't exactly have a "good" day on Tuesday. But that's alright, everybody has bad days. And hey, I love that scarf.

Cardigan, Old Navy; sparrow pin, DIY; shirt, Old Navy, jeans, Dickies; shoes, Classified
I was really resistant to the idea of wearing these shoes today. They're my absolute favorite flats and they're leather, so they're a little more resistant to Portland's famous rain. But, given that it's going to rain today and I'm going to First Thursday (an event that involves a lot of walking), these really are the right shoes for the situation. It just means that I don't get to wear these shoes for another month! Very disappointing.
My sparrow pin is beaded. I finally finished it earlier this week after working on it (clearly not very seriously) for well over a month. I'm pretty fond of it.
I bet y'all are tired of photos in that corner. It's just so damn convenient, I can leave my tripod set up there, which really streamlines the process of getting ready in the morning (if you assume that part of getting ready is taking a photo for the blog. Maybe this weekend, I'll take some more interesting photos.

Shirt, Faith 21; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Madden Girl
Following the intense discomfort of yesterday's shoes, I was reticent to wear heels again today. Especially given that I'm working and 11 hour day today and it involves some walking. However, thinking realistically, I own way more heels than flats and if I don't want to get stuck wearing heels for a week straight at the end of this challenge, I need to space out my flats. So last night, I went to the store and got a set of insoles for heels that are supposed to shift your weight off the balls of your feel. I'm not sure if I believe that some squishy plastic can do that, but my feet are much more comfortable today. That may also be because there are better quality shoes. I hadn't worn them in about a year, but I remember these being comfortable(ish) even when I wasn't big on wearing heels. So I'm hoping today goes better than yesterday and my volunteer event (that's why I'm working so long today) goes off well.
