Shrug, Charlotte Russe; top, Old Navy; belt, Target; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Torrid
I honestly don't really remember much about what I was doing when I wore this outfit. It was a Wednesday, I had to work...I think I just went home after work (a pretty rare occasion, to be honest). Either way, cute, no? Easy, comfortable, wearable. I like it. And I like pig tails!

Scarf, Torrid; cardigan, Old Navy; dress, Faith 21; leggings, necklace and belt, Target; shoes, Forever 21
I was already committed to this dress before I realized how wildly inappropriate for work it is. I suppose this is the good thing about working in an office with no dress code. I tried to make it as matronly as possible, but in the end, it was a really short dress. Oh well, I suppose.
I like these shoes a lot. They're not my most comfortable pair of heels (thus far, that award is still with my Madden Girls) but they have a solid heel. I hate that a lot of my stilletos have heels that wobble around when I walk. There's a good chance they didn't do that when I bought them and they only started doing that because I walk on them the wrong way, but still...it sucks!

Sweater, Old Navy; cami, Torrid; jeans, Dickies; shoes, Converse
Umm...sorry about the god awful pose/face/anything. I wore this for my last day of work at the Winning Mark office and then up to Seattle. To see my bestie! I've had these sneakers since high school, they do right by me. I rarely ever wear them because I feel super sloppy when I have sneakers on. But it was supposed to be wet in Seattle and I only took one pair of shoes, so there it is.

Somehow we missed Wednesday's outfit. That's OK, I can promise you that it was far too adorable for you to handle, so it's probably better this way. This outfit took me to an uneventful day at work then shopping with Rachel followed by a family dinner. Pretty nice day, I think.

Shirt, Old Navy; sweater vest, Torrid; skirt, Torrid; shoes, Xhilaration
The unfortunate thing about this wicked cute outfit (if I do say so myself) is that it was really cold in the office, so I ended up wearing a sweatshirt for the whole day. Boo. The great thing was that these shoes were as comfortable as one can reasonably expect heels to be. I've always been put off by their childish print, thinking that if I wear them, I'll look like a kid dressing up in her mommy's shoes. Or worse, like one of those women who only has one pair of heels and one skirt and is clearly uncomfortable in them. You know I'm all about confidence.
I'm trying to play catch up with daily outfits. Things have been maddeningly busy recently.

Shirt, Gap; skirt, Old Navy; necklace, Forever 21; knee-highs, Target; shoes, Charlotte Russe
Today has been a pajamas and slippers day. You don't need another post about that. So here's something I'd already cued up. This outfit is from some time in late October, though I'm not totally sure of the date. It was cold out, but not rainy, so it was the perfect day to wear wedges. The idea of wearing knee highs with wedges had been rattling around in my head for quite some time, but I always chickened out when I'd think of wearing them. Not this time, though! This day, I wore them high and proud. To pretty good results, I think.

Shirt, Old Navy; skirt, Old Navy; tights, unknown; Doll House
I almost called in and worked from home today. But I didn't, I went in and it was fine until about 11 when I stopped being able to breathe through my nose. It sucked.
These shoes I bought second hand, a rare move for me, given that I find feet absolutely fucking disgusting. Second hand shoes are an extension of that. But they're cute and they were something like $8. So there it is. They're not terribly comfortable, but they're heels. I'm trying to accept that they'll never be as comfortable as my flats. But damn, my feet look good in them.

Cardigan, Old Navy; sparrow pin, DIY; shirt, Old Navy, jeans, Dickies; shoes, Classified
I was really resistant to the idea of wearing these shoes today. They're my absolute favorite flats and they're leather, so they're a little more resistant to Portland's famous rain. But, given that it's going to rain today and I'm going to First Thursday (an event that involves a lot of walking), these really are the right shoes for the situation. It just means that I don't get to wear these shoes for another month! Very disappointing.
My sparrow pin is beaded. I finally finished it earlier this week after working on it (clearly not very seriously) for well over a month. I'm pretty fond of it.
I bet y'all are tired of photos in that corner. It's just so damn convenient, I can leave my tripod set up there, which really streamlines the process of getting ready in the morning (if you assume that part of getting ready is taking a photo for the blog. Maybe this weekend, I'll take some more interesting photos.

Sweater, Old Navy; belt, diy; skirt, Torrid; tights, Old Navy; shoes, Charlotte Russe
After wearing heels for 13 hours yesterday, I feel like I've earned these flats. My feet are rejoicing in their lack of any shaping. But really, those heels did right by me. They were fairly comfortable until about the 11th hour (there's actually no joke in that, shockingly) when I was just so tired of standing, I'm pretty sure no pair of shoes would have made any difference. I'm going to try those inserts in another pair of shoes, see if that's what made yesterday's pair so bearable.
Back to the task at hand, though. I don't remember buying these shoes, but I own the,. They're alright. Just a run of the mill pair of flats. They were definitely an afterthought in today's outfit. I chose them because it's not going to rain today and these are awful when it rains. They soak right through and then I feel like I'm getting trench foot. So I thought I should wear them while I can.
I thought this outfit was going to be adorable when I picked it out last night. I was in a delerious sleepy haze at 9:45 (I was asleep at 10, is that ridiculous?), then when I got dressed this morning I was far too tired to try to fix it. The shape of the sweater doesn't really compliment the skirt, blue tights weren't the right choice with an orange top, the list goes on... But I've committed to the outfit, and thus it stays and you get to see it.

Tank top, Old Navy; pajama pants, Target; slippers, unknown
So today was entirely bumming around the house, working on crafting projects. I showered and changed fom one pair of pajamas to another. Hmm. I was going to post an outfit I wore a few weeks back (pre-shoe challenge), but I felt obliged to show my choice in footwear. These slippers were a Christmas gift from one of my brothers a few years ago. I never used to wear slippers, but since moving to a room over my parents' detached garage, I've been wearing them a lot for the walk between my room and the main house. And these are awesome because they're ducks.
